![]() Looking back at 2016 Pianoways was launched in August 2016. Four months later, here is a short summary of how we are doing: The 16 blog posts published once a week had a total of about 5000 read pages, by approximately 2000 unique visitors. Most blog visitors looked at (and hopefully read) 4-5 posts. The most clicked posts were: - How much practice should a piano student be doing - Ways to memorize a piano piece - The secret of slow practice - Metronome friend or foe - 7 great reasons to play the piano The rest of the posts were visited fairly evenly. People have been commenting on the blog posts but this was done mostly not in the comment section of the blog itself. Some comments and likes were on closed Facebook groups, others on various internet piano forums. Part of these were quite lively discussions! The Pianoways Facebook page has the links to the blog posts with some extra information. Pianoways plans for 2017 In 2017 we will continue posting about different aspects of piano playing and there are some interesting interviews already waiting in the pipeline! If you have any requests, questions or thoughts regarding the blog you are welcome to either post in the comment section or send me a note via the contact page. I am very grateful for all the support I have received so far from family, friends and commenters on the internet. A special thanks to my students and their families for their feedback and ideas and for posing for the images. Wishing you all a peaceful and piano playing filled winter break and a good start into 2017. The next post will be published in January. Stay tuned!
